Just a note to send you all a great big “Thank You” for furnishing and installing a new Harken cruising furler # I on our Islander 30 sloop “New Sensation”. We have had a furler on our wish-list for years, but never got that far, so when you told us that we won one through your drawing at the Seattle Boat Show last January, it was great news. You and your crew came to Sequim Bay for the install, and provided great follow-up and technical assistance. Even though we have had a really busy summer, with not much sailing time, the furler works great! For our next rigging project, we will certainly be calling Northwest Rigging. Thanks again to you all.

 Keith Stone travelled to Seward Alaska to participate in opening day festivities, play his saxophone and scrambled to install two furlers, tune rigs and measured for parts to be shipped to sailors happy to see their decks free of snow!

Aaron covered the rigging shop; created new standing rigging for an Amel 53 ketch all the way down to a sling for an 11FT dinghy.

Andy delivered a 73 FT Tanton design, "Velos" to San Francisco; charging through whale territory at up to 22 knots boatspeed off Cape Mendocino.

Spring is the busiest time here at Northwest Rigging and it is likely we will be offering some discounts for projects scheduled October to February to keep our crew busy... if you have refit in mind, give us a call.

NW Rigging Delivers the largest Selden Mast in our company's History

Sunday, May 15 was found to be Mr. Bill Lee's mast arrival day. Also, according to the Seattle Times two daily total rainfall records were broken… Saturday's 0.97 inch rainfall broke one record, followed by Sunday's 1.78 inches. The amount of rain falling on Sunday equalled the average monthly rainfall for May. I assisted Bill and the driver with the off-loading, and will attest to the wet weather.

Bill has been constructing his Radford 18.3 Meter (60 foot) boat for over 11 years. This is truly a remarkable project, made even more impressive by the fact that he has done ALL of the work himself, including building the machine to bend the aluminum for the hull! He has built a shed on his Camano Island property to house the project, including radiant heat, a stairway to the deck level, overhead crane, and storage shelves for the items he continues to bring into inventory to complete the project. The custom-built 24.75 Meter (81 foot) Selden mast was fabricated in Charleston, SC by the largest mast manufacturer in the world. As I work for Northwest Rigging as the mast projects manager, I have been working with Bill on his selection of the Selden Mast. This is the middle section of three sections.
